Costume Quest Impressions
I purchased Costume Quest Wednesday evening and finished it last night with all of the achievements completed. It took me just under 5 hours to finish and while that does seem kind of short when I think about it now I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing the game. Double Fine has made fun, simple action role playing game. So, even though it was short I feel like I got my moneys worth. Costume Quest is not very deep but that does not really take away from the fun. The fighting is all based on quite time events. Normally I’m not a fan of QTEs but because they are short and simple in Costume Quest they work fine. There is just enough exploration and collecting to keep things varied without being overly burdensome. The story was funny without being too cute. Frankly I don’t really have anything bad to say about the game. I would recommend checking it out and if you have kids who game they should give it a try to. It is rated E10 but when my son hits 6 or 7 I’d probably let him play it.
