At the time I did not have any games I was looking to part with, but last week I came across a couple games I had loaned to a friend and forgotten about. Both were games I have no intention of playing again and are selling for less than $10 on Ebay. So, I decided to try out GameFly’s Trade-In Option.

The Trade-In process is actually really painless. You log in to your GameFly account and head to the Trade-In section. You then tell them what games you want to trade in. I did Stranglehold and Blacksite: Area 51. Once you specify all the games you want to sell them they give you a total for how much you will get for the games. I got $19.78. Then they give you a packing slip and address label to print. You then just pack up the games, slap the label on the box and head to the post office. Shipping was $1.20 for my two games.

A couple days after I shipped the games off I got an email from GameFly letting me know they received the games and my account was credited. Overall, it was a really easy and painless process and I came out with like $18.50 in my GameFly account. It was a lot easier than trying to sell them on Ebay and I got more money than what GameStop would have given me for them.

A few months back GameFly.com added an option to trade in your old games through them and they money for them gets credited strait to your GameFly account.
