{"id":893,"date":"2010-07-19T15:03:34","date_gmt":"2010-07-19T22:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/andymerrill.com\/blog\/?p=893"},"modified":"2011-01-12T21:46:33","modified_gmt":"2011-01-13T04:46:33","slug":"crackdown-2-impressions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/andymerrill.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/crackdown-2-impressions\/","title":{"rendered":"Crackdown 2 Impressions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5246\/5351262900_e103e2879c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-894\" title=\"Crackdown2_Logo_RGB\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5246\/5351262900_e103e2879c.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"249\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I really enjoy open world games, for the most part, and Crackdown 2 is no exception.\u00a0 I can see why some people are complaining that is just like Crackdown and not enough changed, but I don&#8217;t care about that.\u00a0 Yes, it is pretty much just like the original with a few additions and new enemies, but the game is fun and that is what matters.\u00a0 The four player co-op is\u00a0 riot.<\/p>\n<p>The story line in Crackdown 2 picks up years after the first game with the city overrun with Freaks (aka zombies) and the Cell violently opposing the Agency. Your job, as always, is to clean up the city.\u00a0 The story is a little vague but if you listen to the audio drops throughout the city you get a little bit of an idea of the back story of the game. Really though, the story does not matter too much.\u00a0 The point of Crackdown 2 is to run around the city killing enemies and having fun. The game looks a lot like the original Crackdown graphically but I don&#8217;t mind that really. Sure, there are better looking games out there but it does not look bad or anything.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, Crackdown 2 is a great summer co-op game.\u00a0 Running around with your friends causing the biggest explosions and jumps in the world is a blast.\u00a0 Plus, orb hunting now is co-op since there are orbs that require two people pick up.\u00a0 Is it a prefect game? No.\u00a0 Is it a lot of fun with some friends?
