So we have hit the five month mark and we are more active than ever. Jeremiah loves to sit and has been doing a great job sitting by himself. He leans quite a bit forward and we have to watch out to make sure he doesn’t do a face plant.
He still loves his books, as long as he turns the pages. He loves songs. Especially ones with silly words. He smiles and laughs.
He pretends he is ticklish. He laughs really loud if you catch him in the right mood. But if he doesn’t want to be ticklish he isn’t.
We got out some small balls with things inside that move. We weren’t sure if he would be able to grab them, but we put him on his tummy and he lifted the ball pretty high and let it drop. He played with it a long time. Thanks Great-Grandma!
Our best estimate is that he is 26 inches long and about 16 1/2 lbs. He is pretty wiggly to try to measure.
He loves rice cereal. We have determined that he wants more. It was pretty easy to see considering his mouth would be wide open at the end of the feeding! He is a pretty clean eater as long as he can “help” feed himself. He will put his hand behind ours and push our hand to his mouth. He has also pretty much figured out how to drink out of our glass. Of course he wants to help with that too! It is a lot more messy, but he loves it!
He has decided that naps are not top priority. There is too much to see, especially if people are around (He loves to watch little kids). So we have been fighting a little to get him to sleep. However, it has not affected his night time sleep, which I am very happy about. So we settle for a few shorter naps during the day and long sleep at night. Sounds like my sleep cycle!
We are all doing well and are looking forward to next month when he can start eating real food and stop begging for ours.
